Possible Global warming catastrophe? What about THIS?

This makes any possible catastrohpe related to global warming look like a minor oil spill...

An unlike a global warming-induced catastrophe, this type of event has actually happened in the past (it is a periodic event and we are due for one in the next few years) and it is a fact rather than a guess that it will wipe out all power for most of (of not the entire) world. If the power goes out over developed country for months then many people are going to die of diseases and dehydration and from fighting each other for food and water. On top of that there will be no law and order or electronic communications.
You can definitely prepare for this, though. I hope the level of concern over this by the governments of the world is at least half the concern over climate change.
