Control spending?!?!?! What the hell is wrong with you? Don't you know we need to keep spending to stimulate the economy with no risk of inflation down the road? Trust in The Anointed One, you racist.

I'm all for a consumption based tax.........as long it is accompanied by a reduction in income based tax.

With that being said, this looks on the surface like a bad idea, since we all know that neither side of the aisle will ever give up the power that they currently wield through the income tax code.
