Isn't it funny that they're about to take more money away from the citizens that generally have the least amount of it? I mean, they can raise it 30%, but I'm not really sure how I'm gonna pay it. Monopoly money?
We've known this since high school though. At least I know my history/government teachers talked about it.
You're welcome old people!

I'm positive not every young person voted democrat. This is a democracy though. It might suck, but I got no hard feelings for my friends who voted for Obama. If that's who they thought was the better candidate, so be it...I have to live with their decisions, and if McCain won, they would've lived with mine.
That said, this is exactly why smaller government is needed. There's a reason most people live where they do...to live under a local government they see fit, not a government that the majority of the country, even in far away neighborhoods, see fit.

I will blame my stupid fuckin peers of our age group trip. I would bet that half of the fucks didn't even know what Obama wanted to do in office, they just voted that way cause it was the thing to do.

I know this because I when I was asked by several of them why I voted McCain instead and told them what the Obamanation wanted to get done, they looked at me with shocked faces going "I don't believe in that" or "Thats not what I wanted". We get what we deserve now. Stupid fuckers.

I don't mean to throw a curve ball here, but how is this different than what we had before? It's not like insurance companies haven't been jacking up premium rates just because. If you really wanted a free market in health care, ban insurance companies.

Oh, so now they have an excuse to raise it 30% as opposed to before, where they just raised it 30%. All they have now is an excuse.

Yep. I can't even begin to count how many people at UNI I had debates with that couldn't name a real reason they were voting for Obama other than "McCain is W part 2", "He will change things", "It's about time we have a black man as a president".
Had they had a legit reason to vote for him as their reasoning then fine, but there wasn't one coming from the Obamanation UNI chapter.

Which part of "you didn't HAVE to buy it before" don't you understand?

I guess I don't follow your logic that Health Care Reform is the cause of them raising premiums. If you want to be pissed that you have to buy it, I understand that, but the cost was going up anyway. My only question is are the costs going up 30% by 2014 or right now. If it's by 2014, it would appear they've somewhat staunched the bleeding. Either way, health care is probably still broken and the insurance companies are still going to get theirs.

The costs are going up 30% AND younger adults are being FORCED to buy something they were opting out of in droves previously. Oh, and it's by 2014...you know....to give this administration a chance at reelection prior to the general public realizing they've been boned up the ass with no vaseline and not even the courtesy of a reacharound.
And it's nice to know that an Obama supporter can say with a straight face that a $1 trillion bill leaves health care "still broken".

This isn't rocket science, if you put a burden on the system by insuring people the insurance companies don't want to insure in the end somebody must pay and it will be the young people with cheap coverage. In the past the insurance companies were just enticing them to buy insurance, they were low risk thus low premiums. Now since young people HAVE TO BUY THEIR PRODUCT, the insurance companies can just charge them whatever rate is needed to keep everything afloat.
.
This isn't any kind of excuse to raise rates, it is the reality of Obama care.

And then, when you put an artificial cap on what people over 50 must pay, they HAVE to raise the LOWER tiers to be able to charge more for the UPPER tiers. That ain't rocket science either. But apparently it is to the Obamaites.

Anything becomes rocket science to these people when the true outcome is that Obama was wrong. Which is why Benne just brought up the talking point about how the big bad insurance companies are doing this, I hope his heart isn't broken when he finds out that Obama had to sell his soul to health insurance and big Pharma lobbyists to get this monstrosity passed.
