Fair and Balanced ; We Report You Decide

So on my visit to Fox News today, I stumbled on this as the lead story and the lead headline:

I wonder. In their three options, why is only one answer bolded? Why is it in larger font?

I mean, I'd be inclined to think that it was as if Fox News was blatantly trying to get everyone to agree that this was a "show trial". Then again, I know better. Fox News is fair and balanced. It's only that evil "mainstream media" that is biased. Sean Hannity, Bernie Goldberg, Bill O'Reilly, and Megyn Kelly told me so.

You seem surprised - that's why I hit several sites and read the "objective reports" from a few different sites and try to form my own opinion about what really transpired. Fair and balanced is certainly a stretch, but the other cable outlets have their own biases as well. :twocents:

Agreed, and they're all far more interested in ratings than being good journalists. :coffee:

That's why I don't hit ANY of their sites, nor watch any of their "news" (and I use that term VERY loosely) programs.

I don't know why they gave options.

GS guys may be the biggest schmucks that ever walked. It is possible they should be behind bars. I don't have a problem with congressional hearings on their activities.

But I believe this is occurring in the senate which means........................it's a show trial. Specifically designed for enhanced pontification and demagoguery.

GSU...

...you can't be serious.

You freak over Fox's use of headline manipulation to bias a story about Congressional hearings into GS...

...and that becomes a basis for a thread?

Give me a fucking break.

Every day, on every MSM network, there's dozens if not hundreds examples of press bias...

...generally attempting to push liberal "social engineering" agendas.

And it's been going on for decades.

:ohno:

You win the award for Tool-Of-The-Day. :thumb:

You know, I chuckled a little when I read this then realized that this board combined with several news outlets helps me see issues from several perspectives - we have some lunatic fringe on both sides here, but you can read some decent debate here. :notworthy:
