I usually hate election season due to the political ad saturation on television, but I find this particular ad very entertaining. Arlen Specter started with the attack ads and dirty campaigning months ago, but Sestak finally decided to use the nuclear option and go after Specter's Republican past. The usage of Specter's own words and the linkage to Bush and Palin, with a little chemo head thrown in, is pretty damn effective IMHO. Boy does Specter ever look like a used car salesman here. Re-e-LEC-ted. Who the hell talks like that? :

Specter is a politician whose time has has come...and gone...
Hopefully, the people of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will recognize that and send him into retirement rather than back to Washington...

What's worse than a politician hugging Obama or Bush?
A politician hugging Obama AND Bush...

One of the best political ads I've ever seen!
Go, Joe!

What a great ad. I hope someone sends Arlen packing, either at the primary or in November.

Sestak has come from way behind in the polls to dead even! Specter will lose this year. If not to Sestak, to Toomey.

Arlen actually had the temerity to make a commercial where he criticizes Sestak's attendance record and ends the ad with the tagling - "Joe Sestak - just another politician". For a career politician to make that kind of an accusation is just silly.
Yeah, I hope Specter goes. He could lose to Sestak, and I think he would lose to Toomey. Everytime you see Specter now there's just one more reason to vote him out of office.

I LOL'ed at that commercial as well, GF. Well, you actually have a chance to vote against Specter, so let your fingers do the talking. Hopefully you'll do your part to keep that wack-a-doo Santorum unemployed if he ever tries to come back as well.

I'm registered Republican so I can't do anything about Specter until November, although I'm hoping that will be decided before November even happens. Tough with PA having closed primaries - I can't have my say in that election until the Fall.

From AP, May 12, 2010:
HARRISBURG — Two new polls in Pennsylvania's Democratic primary for U.S. Senate show the race is too close to call now.
Polls of likely Democratic voters released today by Quinnipiac University and Franklin & Marshall College show challenger Joe Sestak has closed the gap with fifth-term incumbent Arlen Specter.
The primary election is Tuesday.
Barely a month ago, Sestak trailed by 20 points or more in some polls before he began airing TV ads.
The Quinnipiac University survey gives Specter a 44 percent to 42 percent edge. The sampling error margin is 3.2 percentage points. Fourteen percent are undecided.
The Franklin & Marshall survey gives Sestak a 38 percent to 36 percent edge. The sampling error margin is 7.9 percentage points. It shows about one in four are undecided.

Oh OK, Land of the Lost, not Lost. Nope, didn't watch it much. I'm surprised your parents let you watch hippy shit like that.

Shoot, although my parents weren't hippies, they were hard core Libs.
Besides, my parents were 40 when they had me... they were worn out and let me get away with everything.
