George Rekers resigned from the board of the National Association for Research & Therapy of Homosexuality.

(CNN) -- The anti-gay rights activist who recently toured Europe with a male escort has resigned from a group that promotes counseling for people who "struggle with unwanted homosexuality," though the man insists that he is not gay.

George Rekers resigned from the board of the National Association for Research & Therapy of Homosexuality, the group's website said Tuesday...........

Rekers, a Baptist minister, has been a prominent and effective foe of gay rights legislation across the country. He is a co-founder of the Family Research Council, one of Washington's most powerful conservative Christian advocacy groups, and has weighed in on anti-gay rights legislation across the country.

No, and you knew the answer you asked th question. It just proves that gay isn't a demon that can be cast out by Jeebus. It's a genetic trait, and if it's a sin, and God is the creator of life, then the sin is God's.

Agreed Cleetus, but an extreme left winger started this thread, but I'm certain it was only for information and not out of hatred and ignorance.

Bottom line - if you're a public figure and you're going to spout off about something controversial, be sure you walk the walk - it goes for closet gay Christian Republican hypocrites and Global Warming zealots buying several multimillion dollar energy inefficient homes. The sword cuts both ways.

My global warming Left Wing friends here in Seattle cast a weary eye towards me before they jag-off about conservation and fossil fuel around me anymore

1) Sell your car and stop burning fuel - Seattle has a network of bike trails that cover the entire city
2) Dramatically reduce your carbon usage - turn off your electricity from May to September

if neither of those things have been done on a personal level - step three is: Please shut up, you're embarrassing yourself...
