On Monday, May 10, Editor-in-Chief David Horowitz gave a talk at UC San Diego to counter the Muslim Students Association’s Israeli Apartheid Week. (Horowitz made a point to properly describe the event as “Hitler Youth” week.) He was literally giving his speech at the same time as notorious anti-Semite Norman Finkelstein.
During the Question and Answer period Horowitz had a chilling exchange with a member of the MSA in which he prodded her to reveal the depraved depths of her Jew-hatred. What’s shocking is not so much that she holds such views, but rather that she was willing to admit it:

He's what you would call a self-loathing Jew. They are all over the place, especially in Hollywood.

There is no religion of Peace... that's already been established (over and over again) throughout History

Didn't Bush call it a religion of peace?

Wow.
Someone should pack her up and send her to Iran or Saudi Arabia so she can really see how great her religion can be.

To castigate all religions because Islam is a religion of death and destruction is a big lie.
Over the centuries, Buddhism has consistently proven to be a religion of peace, as has Christianity over large swaths of its existence. The historical faults of Chiristianity as a movement are a trifle compared to the historical faults of Islam, tribal pagansim, communism, and many of the known secular "isms."

of course your defensiveness regarding "Religion" is answer enough...
God is great - enough said...
But as long as Religions continue to focus on control and separation with the whole: "We are and you're not"
The religions of the world will continue to have large violent factions
Depending on who's list you read there are somewhere around 25 HUGE religions and 34,000 organized religions on this planet... There can be no peace on this planet based on that list
One man = One Religion = One Relationship with God = Each one Personal and Private...6.5 billion people each with their own relationship with God...
No more bullsh!t texts - no more Ancient mystical translations
no more veil of secrecy - no more hidden hand of power...

Surely you're aware that the Islamic world used to be the undisputed center of world knowledge, and relatively peaceful? You know, back when Christians were burning heretics at the stake?

I don't believe in religion myself as I see it as a method of control and exclusion. I believe in a personal relationship with God through Christ and I believe in what the Bible says in that we should put God first and foremost in all things. Everything else is secondary.
The only thing I can really classify myself is that I'm a follower of Christ.
As for the original topic, I agree that the young lady wouldn't see Islam in such a high light if she were in the Middle East where most of the rights she has in the US would be taken away. If she was raped, then the community would probably stone her to death in an "honor killing" so that her family doesn't have the shame of an impure woman.
Nietzsche said "The Christian resolve to find the evil and wrong in the world has made the world evil and wrong." Replace "Christian" with "religious" and it's more true in this time. More people have been killed in the name of God than for any other singular reason. Those who seek out evil in this world will become evil trying to find it, but in their mind it's justified because they believe God is on their side.

Just look at how far they have come today! Seriously, about the only thing they have given the world is the zero.
Besides, hard not to be the undisputed center of the world, when you are the center of the world at that point in time.

This is the kind of crap Jews have put up with since the beginning of time. WTF? And don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those Jews that think Israel's shit don't stink. But damn! And this shit will get defended as some sort of "freedom fighter" mentality. And people wonder why Israel has such a hair trigger?

The only thing I wonder about is how Jews can be so damm liberal.

Yes, peaceful. Indeed! The peace of the conquered dead, the conquered converts, the conquered slaves and the conquered dhimmis.
Surely you know that sharia law has been implemented even in relatively "liberal" periods of mulsim rule?

Sometimes, both!
But not JUST Americans and Israelis: Look at all the Jewish Bolshies who were essential to the Russian Revolution but were later sent to the gulags.
