BTW the only thing the government wants to do is induce chemical dispersants into the fragile eco system and wet lands.
We dont know the long term effects of these chemicals and they could be very damaging to our environment unlike the oil spill.

Well, Obama's MMS did give the rig an award last year for exemplary service.

Whatever the correct citation total — five or six — the Deepwater Horizon's record was exemplary, according to MMS officials, who said the rig was never on inspectors' informal "watch list" for problem rigs. In fact, last year MMS awarded the rig an award for its safety history.

Its funny how manejeff, KYjelli, Dback, Cleets want to bag on the big EVIL corporations because after 20 or 30 years of off shore drilling they finally had a minor problem with 3 different safety devices failing during before or after an explosion.
You douchebags act like they set out to do this on purpose when it was just a mistake that could happen to anyone anytime.
BUT YET
you will fail to go after your douchebag president for creating a budget mess that will not be cleaned up for GENERATIONS with all the spending he is doing. Then you will respond that Nobama "didnt create the mess he inherited it from past presidents" just like the last 10-15 have.

Hes outspent them all in 1 year. No excuse is possible for that blatant disregard for our countrys financial welfare.
Wheres the consistency you fu*king tool?

A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds, alfred.
If you didn't want Obama to fix Bush's mess then you shouldn't have voted for him.

Frick ain't going to clean-up andy mess of Frack's. Can you imagine the news media coverage if Bush had been President during such an oil spill. Same shiat, different perspective put on by the news media.

Good at what they do?!?! Everything they have tried thus far has failed miserably and now they put a band-aid on this thing that picks up only 20% of what is still pouring into the gulf and this is heroic? This suction tube thing ain't doing shit other than to momentarily provide a sense of solution to the small minded. It's not much more than a PR stunt by BP.
BTW, scientists now believe the spill had entered the gulf loop current which does not bode well for the Florida Keys and the Atlantic coast.

Well then please list what the Federal government is doing about this?
I am sure we are all willing to read that lengthy list.
Everybody wants to depend on the government to bail them out and give them free shit and this is just another example of why that is a horrible way to go about life.
WHERE THE FU*K ARE THEY NOW?

When you make a mess you have to clean it up, RALPHUPJIZZ. I know your mother taught you that because she told me so.
So sad, and not without irony, that such a rugged individual as yourself (

) sits here bleating for the government to come and help him.

I know when you make a mess you clean it up, THATS WHAT BP IS DOING NOT THE GOVERNMENT!!!
I dont want the government involved in anything except national defense and I never asked for them to help with this oil spill. Even if the government wanted to clean it up they couldnt do it, thats the point.
Maybe you can figure out who our government would hire to do such a job if BP said fu*k it your on your own.
Quit being stupid

Cleaning it up is exactly what BP is NOT doing. Not that they aren't talking about cleaning it up a lot. Maybe some of their execs can be lowered down to the well and they talk it into submission. If they would have listened to the guvmint they wouldn't have this little problem, which, btw, is about to become the Atlantic Ocean's problem too.
Pull your head out.

The oil has barely reached the shore anywhere I really doubt its going to hit the Atlantic.
Quit using the same failed "logic" you global warming idiots tried and failed miserably on rational thinking people.
If it does reach the Atlantic that would be great news because its that much more water to disperse the oil because that's what the ocean does

It's probably in the gulf loop current now. See above.

Good then it wont hit the shore.
The oceans got this one and no amount of fear mongering is going to convince anyone otherwise. If BP doesnt have this stopped in 12 months then get worried until then this spill is a drop in the bucket compared to how much oil leaks into the ocean from all natural causes.

Seems like YOU are the one looking for the Feds to mop up another corporate mess! I don't think that our federal government is responsible for sealing an oil leak........but I certainly expect them to investigate the causes of this disaster, levy fines or change laws if need be, and offer government assistance to those who are affected financially by this disaster.

Your own grasp seems a little feeble, alice: The government wouldn't need to be involved if BP weren't so incompetent.

At the end of my work day today, my friend and I were offered to be sent to the gulf to witness, learn, and help EPA and BP scientists and engineers gather information on the spill for two weeks. My friend is taking the offer up and I certainly would if it wasn't for these damn summer classes.
