If the purpose of the park closure were to send in special forces, then Obama would deserve credit, but I kinda doubt that's what he's got on his mind.

Nope. The whole "three counties deep" thing really gets my goat. And watching those motherfuckers scale that fence like it's not even there.

It would be cheaper to put two-Marine teams every 1,000 meters with appropriate rules of engagement. There's already a base in Yuma and another just north of San Diego. The Army could have Texas and New Mexico.

Good point, Rob. Maybe we could build the second fence 50 yards south of the border to solve the problem.

No, but I can see a whole bunch of pregnant mexicans scaling the fence, then squatting to have their baby on the AMERICAN side so their kid is an anchor baby.

Some comments:

1) The Buenas Aires NWR mentioned first in the story is along the border. The signs mentioned have been up for at LEAST two years, when I last visited the area. Even then, the area was closed to visitors.

But of course that detail doesn't fit Fox's agenda...

2) The Pinal County Sheriff interviewed makes Sherriff Joke look normal. Pinal County doesn't share a border with Mexico. Pinal County is a very right-wing/Libertarian area that doesn't believe in Government Services (or at least paying for them). If the Sheriff has lost control of his county, he needs to ask for more resources from the citizens of his county, or resign.

3) Even more laughable was the sheriff blasting Obama for not going to the funerals of the oil rig workers...Sounds like he suffers from Obama Deraingement syndrome as bad as Alphie does.

No, it is a problem - but claiming the OBAMA is giving part of the country back to Mexico is wrong, since the original closures occured when Obama was what, just a state senator?

I have more of an issue with the obviously biased way the "News" story was presented.

Yes, the Pinal County sheriff has to deal with a lot of that, and should get more help from BATF, ICE, FBI, DEA, etc. Just as any county with a drug problem should.
