PROVIDENCE –– Richard K. Corley, the lawyer whose disclosure resulted in Kimberly A. Mawson being released on bail Wednesday, says his decision to implicate a former client in the slaying of Mawson’s young daughter was “the most difficult decision of my legal career.
“It made me consider giving up the practice of law to do what I thought had to be done” to shed light on what could be a wrongful murder conviction of Mawson, he confided in a lengthy interview.
