Prosecutor: Al Gore was focus of sex crime inquiry in Portland

"The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office confirmed today that a woman who alleged unwanted sexual contact by Al Gore reported it to police in 2006, and the prosecutor’s office was briefed by the Portland Police Bureau in late 2006 and January 2007.

“We were told the woman was not willing to be interviewed by the Portland Police Bureau and did not want a criminal investigation to proceed,’’ Multnomah County District Attorney Michael Schrunk said, in a prepared statement.

Today, as the National Enquirer reported that it had interviewed a Portland masseuse who complained of unwanted sexual contact by the former vice president at the Hotel Lucia on Oct. 24, 2006, the district attorney’s office was notified that the Portland Police Bureau had conducted a further investigation of the allegation in 2009.

Bad judgment, that's all.

When CID1990 goes to a massage parlor and get a happy ending, it is not news and nobody (including the masseuse) says anything.

When somebody with name recognition like Al Gore gets a happy ending, it's rape.

Al just need to learn to keep his hands off the titties when he's getting the handy. That was always my weak point. During the "massage baby" (as they call it in VN) I can never resist pulling up the shirt and taking a handful of chesticle.

Portland Tribune Chose To Cover Up Story

Surprise!!!

The Portland Tribune had the story two years ago, but chose NOT TO PUBLISH the story as it lacked, "many of the test points that we would normally have to determine whether there was sufficient evidence that something inappropriate had occurred."

Al Gore.The Gore complaint

Portland's Oregonian today printed a police report echoing a National Enquirer story that a masseuse accused Al Gore of sexual harassment in 2006.

The woman did not wind up pursuing her complaint, for reasons unclear. It's also worth noting that the Portland Tribune had the story two years ago, and writes that it "chose at that time not to publish a story."

UPDATE: Portland Tribune executive editor Mark Garber declined to discuss the story in detail, but did shed a bit more light on why his paper had chosen not to run with it, based on what he called "many of the test points that we would normally have to determine whether there was sufficient evidence that something inappropriate had occurred."

"We weren’t able to meet our own test," he said.

The paper also quoted a Gore spokeswoman, Kalee Krieder, saying, “Not only has there not been a settlement, we haven’t been approached about one nor can we imagine any basis for one.”
...and libs feel their "liars" jacket isn't warranted.
