Get ready for a McCain/Lieberman ticket, folks....

Lieberman, 66, caucuses with Senate Democrats, though has been a strong supporter of the Iraq war and is a staunch backer of McCain's presidential bid, traveling often with the Arizona senator and campaigning on his behalf during the GOP primary in states like Florida that have large numbers of Jewish voters.

As he weighs potential running mates, McCain is believed to be seriously considering choosing Lieberman, whom he counts among his closest friends, for the GOP ticket. Lieberman's convention speaking slot doesn't indicate either way whether McCain ultimately will choose his friend for the No. 2 slot.
I know Appy doesn't like the two party system.....how about a ONE party system?

I had to think about this for a while...

Not a bad choice...both qualified...experienced...

One issue will be image...

If Obama picks someone like Bayh...both young...

McCain and Lieberman...both old...

I hope the American people will look beyond that, but I'm just saying....

The reason I don't like our current "two" party system is it's really a one-party system which this Republicrat ticket would prove.....

I hope McCain does pick Lieberman. I plan on voting for McCain anyway, but I think Joe helps him win some close states.
FWIW - Lieberman and my mother were childhood friends and I've met him several times.

I agree, Hen. For every blindly loyal religous fanatic ultra-conservative that withholds his vote, there'll be TWO conservative democrats swappin' sides and voting McCain. Not that he isn't going to win this thing going away anyways... ;)
