We were mostly in agreement but stumbled on a topic "Dumb Politicians"

I laughed and said:
"Only conservatives are dumb enough to elevate candidates like Palin"

He stopped looked at me with no expression and said:
"This... from the people who elected Obama..?"

Hey, I have agreed with some policies of both sides from time to time over the last 12 years, but....

It's just a figure of speech. I don't have any egg on my face either. I did get some on me once when McDonalds apparently rushed my Egg McMuffin. Damn thing was still a little liquidy inside. Hello salmonella.

See, that's the problem. The only way you can save face is to vote for the loser so people never know what a debacle they would have been. I am NOT embarrassed at all to have voted for Bush either time, because I can envision what Gore or Kerry would have been like... either would have made Obama seem like the savior he was billed to be.

That's me. I voted for Gore, Kerry and McCain.

I haven't voted for a winning Pres. candidate since 1988.

I saw a car right after the primaries last go round that had Gore, Kerry and Clinton bumper stickers on it. I was thinking the DNC might try to blow that car (and voter) off the road.

I agree. I voted for Bush both times and have absoutely no doubt that I made the right decision in each case. I need go no further than contemplating what would've happened when Supreme Court vacancies came up with Gore or Kerry in office to be completely re-assured.

I'm pretty sure that picture was taken in IOWA.

Well said, 89Hen!!! Lots of whiners and critics on these pages, but very few who can take a stand and make a case.
