HELENA - A federal judge has ordered endangered species protections reinstated for the gray wolf in Montana and Idaho.

The federal government last year removed protections for wolves in those two states but not Wyoming. U.S. District Judge Donald Molloy said in his ruling Thursday the government's decision was a political solution and does not comply with the federal Endangered Species Act.

Molloy said the entire Rocky Mountain wolf population must be either listed or removed as an endangered species, but the protections can't be separated by state.

IF he is using it as a getaway and maybe a base camp for hiking/views etc...I would keep it. If he got it solely for hunting, than......

No. Wyoming is thinking rationally about this and wants the wolf to be hunted like coyotes. Shoot on sight 365. No limits, no nothing. Now that they are here they will never ever be gone. No way we could shoot enough to eradicate them now. Trapping and poisoning is the only way to kill them off and they won't let us legally use poison.
