Politics Goes Slapstick

Yahoo! is reporting that Senate Armed Services Committee Chair Carl Levin was hit in the face with an apple pie by an anti-war protester. Given that she was charged in a sit-in at his office last year, she has been charged with stalking and assault.
Levin is pretty much laughing it off since he wasn't really hurt. But he did note that the "lady's" actions hurt hur cause more than the anti-war crowd's rhetoric does on its own.

I wouldn't read that much into it. She probably just had some extra apples to throw and Ann Coulter wasn't in town.
