... but in 2008 the GOP was still blaming Clinton

Early 2001: Economy goes sour... all because of Bill Clinton

Sept 11 2001: Clinton's fault

March 2003: Iraq Invasion: "It was the policy of the Clinton Administration to have a regime change in Iraq, so in a way George Bush carried out what Bill clinton wanted to do." Former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani on May 21, 2007

2005: US ends direct diplomacy with North Korea: "Trouble could be brewing in North Korea, but is it all the fault of Bill Clinton?" Sean Hannity

2008: Housing Collapse: Several FOX News people blame it on Bill Clinton.

And a bonus....

2010: BP Oil Spill.... yup... according to FOX News.... Bill Clinton's fault....

Regardless if any of this is true or untrue.... its just shows republicans should shut the fuck up when the bitch and whine for people blaming things on Bush still.... since 10 years after Clinton left office they are still blaming things on him.... and oh ya,,, one of the idiots who blamed BP oil spill on Clinton... also blamed Jimmy Carter.... so by my count we can still expect to be blaming Bush for atleast another 28 years.

The difference I see in what you are saying, is that it is Barack and our Congress blaming Bush, while you quoted all political commentary people and a former Mayor as blaming Clinton.

Barack may have inherited a slow economy, but it is his actions that have caused it to stay where it is. A real President needs to be above the blame game.

This very liberal Obama voter thinks the new administration should stop blaming Bush and start digging deeper into how to save the economy. Bush One did the same thing by silently countering and changing most everything Reagan did to ruin the economy and the environment. He is the only Conk I admire.

Word.

Then why did "it's the economy, stupid" do him in?

While we don't share our support for BHO, it's time to move on and acknowledge that the problems exist and provide solutions for them. BO was full of solutions during the couple of years of campaigning, yet he's been so full of venom for the previous administration that he's forgotten that HE will be the target in a few years if he doesn't get decisive and move past the whole "it's Bush's fault" mantra. Nobody will argue that Bush will be grouped with Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln as far as past presidents go, but at this rate Obama is more likely to fall into the 20-40 percentile of presidents than the upper half. :twocents:

When was the last time BO didn't start a sentence with "The policies of the previous decade..."?

I think quite a few people would argue with that.

But in all fairness, much of the financial situation can be blamed on the Clinton administration.

I admire a man, as I'm sure you do, Z, who has the courage to recognize the faults of his "sainted" predecessor and go about making the necessary changes in order to save the economy and the environment, at the expense of his career. He was the only Conk who KNEW taxes needed to be raise (as they do now) and he had the balls to do it, despite his proclamation againts new taxes.
Bush One is the only Conk who gets even a breath of appreciation from liberals. Reagan was an arrogant khundt and, after he lapsed into Alzheimers in about '84, his handlers became more arrogant khundts.

And you assholes want that fvck on Rushmore.

I'm gonna puke.

When you get one of those preppie mammas stoked up, you got one big conflagration, Bro. Even if she was 75 then.
