What can America REALLY do to fix the system that our elected "leaders" have gotten us into over the last 100 years or so? We keep saying vote them out when we all know the next bunch will be just as bad.......so do we go after the corporations that actually DO rule the nation and how do we stop them?

What can Americans do?

Reject the premise that government is responsible for each individual's well being. Adopt the following posture:

Government is not responsible for me having a job. Government is not responsible for making sure I am paid some certain amount when I do have a job. Government is not responsible for making sure I have food, shelter, heatlh care, or anything else. Government is not responsible for making sure I am secure in my retirement. The national government is responsible only for national defense, regulating interstate commerce only in an economic sense per the original understanding of the commerce clause, and providing a basic infrastructure.

No more Social Security system, no more Medicare, no more Medicaid. No more unemployment insurance. No more housing assistance. No more food stamps. No more anything that falls into the category of government assistance to individuals. And, yes, no more government payments to corporations. No more government grants.

But the American People aren't going to do that. We are addicted to government.
