Dems sinking in latest CNN Poll

The Democrats continue to sink in polls as the mid-term elections grow ever closer...the latest CNN poll basically gives the Republicans a lead in all but two major categories...
A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Tuesday indicates that 46 percent of Americans say that Republicans in Congress would do a better job dealing with the economy, with 43 percent saying that Congressional Democrats would do a better job on the top issue on the minds of Americans. The GOP's three point advantage is within the poll's sampling error.
The Republicans' 3-point edge is a big shift from last year, when the Democrats held a 52 to 39 percent advantage. The GOP leads 51 percent to 32 percent on the economy among Independents, and they have a 9-point advantage on the issue among voters 65 and older.
According to the poll, Republicans have a slight 3-point edge over the Democrats on taxes and a 6-point advantage on tacking the federal budget deficit. The GOP holds a larger 20-point lead on dealing with terrorism and an 18-point advantage on illegal immigration. Republicans have a 3-point advantage on the war in Afghanistan.
"Democrats have slightly better numbers than the Republicans on just two issues -- Social Security and health care -- and on both of them, that gap is extremely small," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland. "

Looks like we will have a power split in November, meaning no more ramming legislation through and more thought will go into what does get through...IMHO...

Yes, we do agree on that, though I wouldn't use the word, "crap". It's a solid media outlet and into sensationalism like any other nowadays, including FOX, MSNBC and the others.

"Not only are they running away from President Obama, they're running away from being Democrats in some cases. In some races you actually see the Democratic candidates not really mentioning that they're a Democrat in their campaign ads," Cordes said.

Sounds like the congressional Republicans in 2006 and 2008. Let's face it. There's been a lot of presidential fail the past several years.
But going liberal "lite" will not win them any votes either.

How is this possible. Didn't every liberal news outlet proclaim that Conservatism was dead when BHO got elected? If that was the case, then it is one helluva recovery. Like being on deaths doorstep to taking charge.

Heck, it took Chimpy McCheneyburton, the dumbest President ever a full six years to get people this riled up.

Aw, BS. You LOVE lib lite, kalm. You are just baiting the conks ... again.
But I'll take the bait. The Tea Party and conservative libertarians are largely correct in that the Republican Party has become lib lite and needs to be purged. That does not mean, however, that the libs are always wrong on style or substance. In contrast to Obama and the socialists, the conks must be willing to recognize and use good ideas from the other side choose their battles wisely.
