But, really, why is it that there's no problem with insulting other religions and general and Christianity in particular but everybody has to "respect" Islam? Is it because that's the only Religion that's going to set off bombs and such if you do it?

Besides, M, what you're seeing in a statement like what I responded to is the same old attempt to generalize the problem to religion instead of recognizing it as Islam. Right now, the problem is Islam. It's not the "same" as other religions. There is no other religion in the world right now that is the kind of threat to western civilization as Islam is.

Even this incident illustrates that point. If someone was talking about burning bibles there might be threats of boycots and protest but we wouldn't be talking about peoples' lives being in danger. We wouldn't be seeing members fo the State Department trying to discourage people from doing it.

There is no comparison at all between Islam and other religions right now. And it really is high time that all the non Muslims in the world stop trying to appease Muslims and call them for what they are: They are whack jobs. Yes, they are free to be whack jobs. But they are completely screwing up the civilization and we shouldn't be shy about saying so.

If you want to say Christians are whack jobs too, fine. But at the very least it's a matter of degree. There is no way Christians or members of any other faith are causing the problems Muslims are based on their religion. Islam is a cancer.

If you want to go through the trouble of going to a library you could find the same thing. Yes, there is plenty of bad information on the internet. But it is also a valuable resource that allows access to a lot of reliable information.

So if I go get a book that says the same thing would that be better? Do you automatically accept the asssertion that the Yahweh of Christianity is the same as Allah of Islam just because it's assesrted?

The God of Christianity is a "Trinity." Do you have any indication that the concept of "Allah" includes the concept of a "Trinity,"....three yet one?

All three Religions can themselves descendants of Father Abraham. For most of you, you could care less about the truth. Most of you have showed your true colors for he past 18 months.
