Castro Admits Economic Failure

Noth that we didn't know it for years, but Fidel Castro now all but admits the "Cuban Model" doesn't even work in Cuba...
Fidel Castro told a visiting American journalist that the "Cuban model" no longer works, an apparent admission of failings in the communist economic model introduced by his revolution more than 50 years ago.
"The Cuban model doesn't even work for us anymore," Castro told Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic in an interview last week. Goldberg published parts of the exchange on a blog Tuesday and Wednesday.

Mistakes during the Missile Crisis
Has apologized to Gay Cubans for bad treatment.
I think he is setting the stage for Raul to liberalize the Cuban economic and social structure.

Castro should be named on Honorary Conk for all these failings he's confessing to. Still hasn't beat out Newt, though.
