So, up to the point where they figured out he had a loaded firearm, you had NO problem with that level of response? :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

Depends. Was he in a "free speech zone"?

After police arrested Hill Thursday, he was charged with assault, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.
But he was arrested for this? :? He's a loudmouth, but I certainly didn't see him assault anyone - aside from carrying a weapon (which never showed up in this video) this guy has grounds to sue especially since it was captured on camera by dozens of people. Clearly a violation of his first amendment rights whether you agree with his message or not.

Is Alaska a conceal carry state? I would think it would be. If so, then him having a firearm isn't much of a surprise, other than being against state fair rules. Although the thought of a Laroushe follower ahving a weapon is disturbing. Four years ago, and this guy is wanting Bush to be impeached Sk and Klean would be shouting free speech while AZ would be defending security.

I think AZ would be on the free speech bandwagon as well...

Four years ago and this guy would have been out of sight half a mile away at a "free speech zone". :coffee:

Private Property = Property Owners Rules = Justified Removal

I think there's a lot that doesn't show up in the video. The tape skips right before he's arrested.

Also, the dude's not on public property. They allowed political organizations to come, but they had to sign up for a booth and such. He didn't sign up or register or anything.

The 1st Amendment doesn't mean you have a right to carry a giant 12 foot sign anywhere you want. If I decided I wanted to take a giant 12 foot sign that says "Vote Democratic in November" to the App game this weekend and stand on the hill yelling political messages... I'd be ejected. If I resisted... I'd probably have some fatass cops handcuffing me. My first amendment rights wouldn't be violated.

So you're saying the owner of an apartment building (private property) may refuse to rent to blacks, Jews, etc.?

Bad comparison Stretch Armstrong.

The dude should have signed up for a booth/assigned location like the other politicos.

I didn't make a comparison or bring up property rights. You said that private property owners have the discretion to make any rules they like concerning their property. I merely pointed out that your statement is inaccurate.

Grizzy,
Is what I said, really stupid? Yes, it is. It is presented as such. Humor with a li'l Donk barb on it. Relax.

And the blacks & jews are required to fill out an application for apartment rental.

So, I suppose you supported the Bush's "Free Speech Zone"....it's nice when the government allows us to use our "rights"....

The government had no role in establishing these rules. A nonprofit organization put on the fair and made the regulations. Not the government. When someone purchased a ticket and decided to enter the fair... they tacitly agreed to follow the rules of the fair. When they broke the rules, they were asked to leave. When they refused to leave, they were forced to leave.

What do you think would happen to me if I brought a 12 foot sign saying "Vote Democratic in November" to the App football game this weekend and stood on the hill holding it and yelling political messages? You think I would last 10 minutes before being ejected? Would my "freedom of speech" be violated for not being able to wield a 12 foot sign wherever I want?
