Damnit, Travis, you spelled 'hot' wrong in the thread title.

What gets me is the those on the "left" try to present themselves as the voice of honesty and reason then they come up with stuff like this. Michelle Malkin's parents were here on an employer sponsered visa when she was born. They were not here illegally. I don't think that's what most people are talking about when they say "anchor baby."

She has said that there is jurisprudence suggesting that the 14th Amendment clause on being born in the United States was not intended as a blanket grant of citizenship to children born in the United States regardless of circumstances. I think that's kind of too bad. Simply as a matter of language it unambiguously says that and my belief is that if law or Consitutional language unambiguously and directly says something that's what you have to go with because it's like writing instructions and if you don't want things done a certain way you should be careful not to write instructions unambiguously saying to do it that way.

Anyway, there is nothing hypocritical about Michelle Malkin taking that position. Even if she takes the position that the route to her own citizenship (being born to parents legally here on a visa) shouldn't exist that is not hypocrisy because she had no control over how she became a citizen.
