NH-01: Guinta Still Has No Explanation Of Where $$ Came From

Former Manchester, NH Mayor and current GOP nominee for New Hampshire's 1st Congressional District Frank Guinta has still offered no explanation of the source of $355,000 in personal donations and loans to his campaign. His latest claim is the money is from a bank account he and his wife have had for several years, though no such account was ever listed on personal disclosure forms while he was Mayor of the states largest city and was not listed on a personal disclosure form filed after he filed as a candidate for the Congressional seat. After the issue was brought up first by primary opponents he filed an amendment to the personal disclosure form. Guinta continues to refuse to release bank statements that can show the account has been long standing or even held the funds in question.
Democrats are claiming the money came from his parents who earlier this year sold a home in New Jersey, if that is indeed the case then the money is an illegal contribution.
Guinta can easily clear up the issue by releasing bank statements, but his refusal to do so could suggest that the money may not have come from the account.
