Nothing to discuss. Those of who believe are simply into the practice of thanking our Creator and Lord for his blessings which include life itself and the ability to live it. Simple as that. Long week huh? :thumb:

What, you thought they were going to credit Iowa for their rescue?

Actually, if they had they might have been rescued months earlier...

You might have been out of the loop recently, so I'm gonna fill you in..

Iowa sucks now. They are a bunch of soybean eating pansy carpet munchers. DC/B'more is where it's at now. FYI. :thumb:

They should be pissed at this "god" creature for putting them there in the first place.

A warm, loving, compassionate god would never do that to his children, to allow them to suffer so.

The score is

Mid-Atlantic - 62
Iowa - 1

(we haven't had a flying fireball...yet.)

There you go again, not being logical.

If God rescued them, then why doesn't God get the blame for trapping them?

What they should be doing is thank God for science, and American Taxpayers

NASA technology was a major part of the rescue - all paid for by us. Glad we invested in it.

Actually Hen, faith helps, but just like in everything, it was technology, yearning to be with family, hard work, a basic survival instinct in all of us or ingenuitiy that kept them alive.

God, jesus or the holy ghost - whichever one they were praying too, undeservedly, gets all the credit.

If your gonna give god credit for the rescue, then you also gotta fault him (or it ) for the collapse.

It's simple. :coffee:

God inconvenienced a lot of motherfvckers across the world to "test" them, Z. Cost 'em several millions of dollars, too. Should the Chilean prez send the bill to "God"?

I'm pretty much with D on this one.

Faith, even if it is in the Flying Spaghetti Monster, is a very powerful thing. There is a reason for those people who are going through really hard times that all of a sudden break out of it and then they credit faith. That faith isn't always in God, although God does get the most credit. I know people who have had situations like that, but they credit the turn around to finding faith in anything to believe in.

The technology saved them, the faith kept them going.

Oh, and as for the "God would never do this to his children" shit. If you read the Bible and take it as face value/believe it/whatever you know God has done this shit for as long as Christianity has been around. Like Z said, if God is real, God was testing them. They passed the test. Next story.
