By the way........this "liberal" stopped listening to NPR after it became MPR (Muslim Public Radio). Seriously.......it got to the point where every other story was about some Middle Eastern/Muslim thing. Our Federal government should drop ALL funding to this outfit ASAP! It is very obvious that they have become a mouthpiece for Muslim interests in this country.

Extremist Muslims are aggressively marketing a strategy of spreading death and destruction, and moderate Muslims are virtually silent in pushing back. This whole stupid Mohammed cartoon issue is a clear example. The TSA overreaction at the airport is another. You can't pretend the issues don't exist simply because it doesn't dovetail nicely with one's politics...

My kids turned out just find...a bit more conservative than I am, but I've noticed a nice softening in both of them to understand the entire world around us...

I don't need to know about them......I don't want to hear about them (on NPR). I used to listen to NPR because they had a progressive, intellectual discussion about offbeat news items or presented new or interesting viewpoints on other stuff. However, it has been nothing but YEARS OF MUSLIM OVERKILL!!! MPR needs to go private and stop stealing our tax dollars for their agenda!

I don't watch Fox, CNN, MSNBC or any OTHER "news" channel (and I use that term VERY loosely). I can not STAND talking heads, especially when they yell and talk over each other in an attempt to get their agenda across. I get all my news from championshipsubdivision.com.

It is an election year and once again, NPR thrwos out all semblence of balanced reporting and simply puts on shows that bash the Republicans. All I have heard over the past two weeks has been "Republican candidates are being backed by such and such mean person...with a lot of money....trying to suppress minority votes...", etc.

To be totally honest with you, the only other 'melting pot' group that I feel in tune with in this country (other than my own) is the black community. They are as distinctly American as any European immigrants who came over of their own volition. They are fully assimilated Americans, and where they preserved their own culture, it has become part of the American fabric. I like that.

Contrast this with other immigrants we are dealing with right now, and I am particularly referring to the 3rd world sh!tholes south of the border and in the Middle East. These people have no desire to become Americans. In some cases, their motivations are purely oppposite to what they should be, i.e: they either have some belief in entitlement because their great-great grandpappy lost his dirt farm in El Paso when America took Texas, and are here for the Reconquista, OR, they believe in diluting the original population in order to set up a new American Caliphate.

When the sh!t starts flying I'll count myself proud to stand alongside my American black brothers and sistas (and a few of my Viet Kieu cac anh trai) to defend American culture (junk food, jazz, pork BBQ, high quality porno, corn on the cob and baseball).

I don't need additional education to know that Islam is utter bullshit. Every religion is utter bullshit. There is no Allah. Mohammed did not fly into heaven on a winged horse. Mohammed was not the messenger of god. He was a murderous, illiterate pedophile. Why shouldn't I make fun of these primitives? Why should anyone refrain from ridiculing those who attempt to give that fucked up religion a facade of respectability and legitimacy? NPR should be doing what is in the public interest. It is in the public interest to expose Islam for what it is.
