Do the Paki's have the right idea?
The fact is, we are at war-the army is tired of this situation and so the soldiers have adopted such questionable tactics. Of course it is not right, nobody should have the right to do such things, but the soldiers think that they no longer have the choice. Since the Taliban have come to the Valley, it has become a lawless region...

...Those over there to whom I have shown the videos have told me that the Taliban have done worse things to them than what is shown in this footage. For them, it is 'an eye for an eye, tooth for tooth'.
Our government doesn't think so...
Following the release of these films, the US announced that it would cut economic aid to the different Pakistani military units on the basis that they have committed grave human rights abuses on a routine basis in their Swat Valley operations
Whatcha all think? And please don't say nuke the whole place...

Not following this. I don't think the US chooses what units get its money. We should have cut economic aid to Pakistan a long time ago.

I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but I think Obama's done a great job handling Pakistan - be diplomatic wrt Islamabad, bomb the shit out of militants with our drones. It neatly steps around the issue that Pakistan's military and intelligence agency (ISI?) are divided between helping the Taliban and fighting them...

Bottom line though is that OBL's most likely holed up in the mountains there - until his rotting corpse is dragged back to the Americans there's no good answer to engaging these guys.

It's another example of us trying to apply Western morals and values to Muslim cesspools.

Ain't gonna work. As the end of the article stated, they'll just ensure noone is filming. If anyone thinks these kind of things are going to stop, they're delusional.
