Despite my best efforts (Voted for the Libertarian who got 3%ish), the GOP will gain a Senate seat, as Coats will win Indiana.

CNN is noting that GOP candidates are trending higher than pre-election polling suggested. This can't be good for Reid.

Three incumbent dems trail early, but not by much... yet. Indianapolis Dem leads as only Democrat currently ahead.

As a Democrat, I'm pretty sure the party is going to take huge and significant hits for fiddling with health care while the economy burned. This Democratic party had a shot to become the majority party for a generation if it had cut spending and focused on the economy. Why the leadership of Reid/Pelosi thought the best time to ram through national health care (which itself did not have broad support) was the middle of the worst recession in 70 years is beyond me. But the consequences were predictable and tonight is the day of reckoning. This was a squandered opportunity which proves the Democratic leadership really has no grasp of what was historically its constituency -- the middle class.

If by doing very well you mean that he's in a statistical tie at this point, then yes he's doing very well.

Male voters 49% of the vote Ayotte leads 56-44
