All in favor of political GRIDLOCK...

Post by Chizzang »

 It looks like we're going to have that ever so important and too long missing "GRIDLOCK"

A political landscape where both sides are forced to work together to pass anything - so nothing passes
A situation where PORK and GRAFT can't be flaunted and then passed - But they try anyway
An environment where begrudging cooperation is the only choice - so instead we get GRIDLOCK

With the complete lack of leadership in either party, I agree. Gridlock = good.

I'm not really in favor of gridlock, but with feckless fucktard Obama in the White House, it's the best I can hope for over the next two years.

Funny, that's one of the main points the Vietnamese government brings up when somebody is foolish enough to suggest a multi-party system.

Much of America has no idea who those people are. I don't think they teach the Constitution in schools much anymore. :ohno:

I'm kind of happy too. This will force Obama to do what he said if wants anything to get through - work both sides of the aisle.

The free ride is over for all Politicians. Repubs can no longer just vote against a Dem initiative just to say they did even though they know it will pass regardless and Dems can no longer pass whatever the hell they feel like.

Why yes. Yes he did, bandl. In fact, it was reported by historians that he used the most faaaabulous quill at the signing:

Purple is a sign of nobility, so I'm cool with that.

Not sure what an Australian paper company has to do with this though.

The most important thing was getting rid of *wince* Nanci Pelosi. She's just way too partisan to be SOTH. Many of the donks who lost are the blue-dogs that voted for the stimulus and the healthcare bill, and they only did so because of the arm-twisting of Lady Pelosi and Rahm. This election is going to put a stop to s*** like that real fast.
