Seriously.

Do you remember that Kanye West said “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” back in 2005, resulting from the President’s handling of Hurricane Katrina?
In George Bush’s memoir, “Decision Points,” to be released next Tuesday, Bush writes the charges flung at him that he was a racist during the Katrina crisis “was the worst moment of my presidency.

I guess 9/11 he figures that was the best thing that happened him sincehis approval ratings up afterward.
It's either 9/11 or the dems nominating John Kerry.

No more than Clinton was proud of inflaming Al Quaeda in his failed attempt to kill Bin Laden.
Thanks, Bill.

I just checked my garage.....yep, water and a board. I'd be nice enough to use distilled water so they don't get any germs.

How about Reagan and pumping billions to the mujahadeen in Afghanistan? The mujahadeen that he liked to call "freedom fighters." Giving them truckloads of stinger missles, training, etc. And, then promptly abandoning them to do what they wished after the Soviets left Afghanistan.
Probably inconsequential, amiright?

Sounds like good timing after the Soviet Union collapsed. Am I right?

Good timing was stopping the flow of arms to our future enemy (Al-Quida) after they stopped our present one (USSR).

Yes, it was a dumb thing for Bush to say, but I actually think I get where he's coming from. 9/11 was something that was really outside of his control, there's likely nothing Bush personally could have done to stop it from happening. But to have someone call him a racist on national TV, even for someone to view his actions and come to the conclusion that he was a racist, must have hurt Bush deeply, especially when he was doing what he could to help the people of New Orleans.
I think Bush is a good guy at heart, who tried his hardest to do what he thought was best for the country, and it didn't work and he became reviled by a good portion of the country he loves.

Many of the problems we argue about today, at home and abroad, are due to the miscalculations and malfeasance of Reagan and his handlers, mostly the latter. You Conks oughta read up on George H W Bush taking office and his monumental efforts to run away from Reagan and change the things that demented old codger did to America.
