The presenters of that video are Brian Stevens and Frank Garay. They do a daily video blast aimed at the Mortgage Origination Industry called "Think Big Work Small," or the "TBWS Daily Show."
These guys are 100% credible and have a big and growing following among realtors and the mortgage industry. They were the guys who sponsored the petition last year against Barney and Cuomo's baby HVCC (Home Valuation Code of Conduct) which took away control over ordering appraisals from originators like me and put it in charge of appraisal management firms which are owned by the banks and politicians.
I got to meet Brain and Frank at a luncheon (and subsequent drinks later that evening at happy hour) for the Florida Assn of Mortgage Professionals a couple of months ago and they are good guys.
This is yet another example of George Soros being paid back for his support for all things democratic by the taxpayers of the USA courtesy of the Obama administration. If this doesn't piss the living shit out of each and every one of you then you have no consience.

Actually Indy Mac (which is the entity One West bought that had this toxic portfolio) was one of the pioneers of sub-prime adn exotic lending. I remember when the company I was working for signed up with them on a correspondent basis in the mid 90's. Their product guide (back when it was a three ring notebook, now it is all web based) was at least 4 inches thick with all the different loan programs.

You're talking abou tthe FDIC, right? One West did nothing wrong.
BTW, not going to say they're not making a lot of money, but these guys didn't give you any info on the cost of selling the property and keeping the note while it was for sale. For guys who love charts and graphics, they're not telling the whole story.
