This guy might have a point:

Phillip Adams, a veteran, said the promotion is a bad idea.

"An AK-47 is a very dangerous weapon," Adams said.

He said he'd rather they give customers a free flag with a pole to put up in their yard.

I'm not a big gun control guy, but given the way some people handle their phones, cars...heck, even their own two feet....

Let's just say there is a certain subset of the population that I'd be ok with never pointing out the 2nd amendment to.

Side note/dumb question:

Isn't an AK-47 kind of "the bad guys gun" from a war veteran's standpoint? Or do I just watch too many movies?

Has the U.S. military ever used AK-47s?

Basically, it's not "our" weapon...we have some for training, and special operations use them when in areas that the AK is the predominate weapon...

But I would not call it "the bad guy gun"...

Yeah, clearly I watch too many movies (the Russians and terriorists are always carrying them), but at least I was right about them not being a primary US weapon.

Perhaps, but if Commander Cat or Lieutenant Cat get caught in the crossfire, I'm gonna be pissed.

Then arm them like any good parent would do.
