If Palin wants to be considered a serious candidate in 2012 she really needs to sharpening her foreign policy knowledge.

It's an embarrassment. Palin is more overexposed than Lady Gaga.

In all seriousness I don't think a President needs to be an expert on any particular technical issue. A President needs to have a basic philosophical outlook on the role of government in the United States and the role of the United States in the world. Then the President needs to surround himself or herself with experts who know how things work but who also will work to advance the philosophical outlook.
