NY Donkey is p!$$ed that Obama is trying for the compromise instead of trying to jam it down the Elephants' throats. What he doesn't realize is that he's doing (or trying to do) EXACTLY what he's accusing the Elephants of.

As soon as I saw the title of this thread, I knew it had to be Anthony Weiner.
What a wiener!

Me too. The next mayor of NYC and then Senator from NY.
Weiner isn't messing around. He pulls no punches and agree with him or not, I respect him for it.

Obama spent the last two years trying to placate the right, compromise, etc. Got him nowhere.
He needs to get a pair of stones. The GOP is going to run all over him next two years.
Obama is a clueless motherfucker.

True, but nearly every time I've ever seen or heard from him he's having some hysterical meltdown. He's pretty young to be making the deathwatch list, but I'm afraid the guy is going to stroke out prematurely.

Some of us were questioning his abilities when he was still wowing crowds in Germany with his speaking ability - lots of smoke and mirrors. It's his own fault that he couldn't effectively push his agenda with a supermajority for his first two years, and you're right about the GOP running over him.

Or perhaps his agenda isn't exactly the same as people imagined it to be.
But seriously, you guys need to lay off the wiener.

While I would agree (and have been saying for 3 years) that Obama is a clueless motherfucker, your first sentence is utterly laughable, and speaks volumes about the lack of intelligence of the left. Obama spent the last two years telling the right to go kindly FUCK themselves while he crammed through massive pieces of unread legislation that 55-60% of the American public wanted no part of. In fact, I distinctly recall a "summit" in which he not so subtlely reminded McCain that "WE WON", so sit down and shut the fuck up while I run this ship aground.
Placate. Compromise. Those two words haven't been on Obama's teleprompter for 2 years.

I guess they call him "Schumer Junior."

I don't always agree with AZ, but seriously, when people look back on Obama's first two years, they will never say that he spent the first two years trying to "placate the right, compromise, etc". Heck, the whole first year, with the stimulus and the health care, things that didn't need a single Republican vote, were done just that way, with no Republican support. IMO, the supermajority was one of the biggest problems with Obama's first two years - it gave way too much power to Pelosi and Reid and it actually turned the Democratic caucus in Congress against itself and resulted in a lot of infighting and little positive accomplishment. But the Republicans were basically bystanders to the wreckage - they didn't have any power to do anything but that.

Except I honestly belief Weiner is out for more then to just get his name on some form of NYC Landmark when he's dead.

Yeah, Weiner's the guy who went on that rant about the "Republic Party" when he got ticked off by GOP pols referring to the "Democrat Party." Is there any substance to the guy? Does he have Schumer's perfect SAT scores?

They were saying the same thing about Clinton and now moderate Republicans will admit that Clinton wasn't so bad while wing nuts will attribute all of Clinton's successes to congressional Republicans.
I'll admit that Obamacare was a giant mess, but he clearly moved to the right and away from single payer and the public option. So you could say he placated Big Insurance and Pharma which is supposed to be the job of the party of business.
The stimulus ended up being 1/3 tax cuts - which have had little stimulative or job creating effect.
He escalated the War in Afghanistan.
He maintained if not grew the Bush Security State.
He is continuing to pursue Free Trade.
But I agree about the Republicans being bystanders. Loud, vocal, bystanders who were never going to comprise. That will continue.

Sure, when Clinton is viewed through the prism of Obama, he (Clinton) looks like a fucking genius.
And Obama moved away from single-payer and the public option because he knew he might get tarred and feathered otherwise. And if you think Big Business only greases the palms on the RIGHT side of the aisle, you're beyond hope.
He escalated the war in Afghanistan and grew the Security state based on national intelligence data that the dipshit didn't have access to as the junior senator from Illinoise.
But let's not mix facts with hyperbole...

Of course I think Big Business greases both sides, that's why I made the remark you big dope.
I sure am glad he avoided the tar and feathers though.

He doesn't have huge academic credentials but I do think he's a very very smart guy. Street smart more than anyhting else which is why I think I like him. SUNY Platsburgh grad (hockey player) and while he did work for Schumer, he doesn't really follow the Schumer non-existent in NY attitude.
I know you'll love this tidbit though - Weiner was Jon Stewart's (then Jon Leibowitz) roommate after college.

Oh, THAT Jon Leibowitz! (Wasn't Fawn Leibowitz the dead girl in

While I don't necessarily agree with the language all y'all are using, AZ here sums up my feelings on Obama's first (and hopefully only) administration to a T. The entire Donkey attitude during the last 8 years of Bush was to bash the entire right with "Bush sucks" as much as they possibly could. Then after Obama won, they were like, "We won. Shut up."
You can't have it both ways, guys.
