there would have riots in the streets all over the world. I was waiting for a Tbagesque swiftboatin to ruin Obama at the last minute. Thank god it didn't happen.

Good riddance to the republicans. You are a world wide embarrassment and enemy of humanity, just like catholocism and islam.

We can just FEEL the love, you two. So much inclusiveness, all the hate and bitterness gone, right D?

A new guy in the office (A Montana State Grad, no less) and I had a conversation this morning on "inclusiveness"...

We both noted that if you agree with a Lib, everything is cool and they talk about being inclusive...

But if you disagree, out comes the "hater" label, and the shout-downs...not very "inclusive" to positions contrary to theirs...

You too both know I have a very valid reason for my disdain of Mormons and their hate speech/actions.

Yet ANOTHER fine example of the Donk double standard. The label "party of inclusion" is laughable.

Yes, that is why the Democratic Party has support of, and regularly elects, blacks, hispanics, asians, native americans, gays, lesbians, young, old, rich, poor, middle class...

The Democratic Party - we're not just a bunch of white dudes...

It's not who you elect Jon, it's how you TREAT those you disagree with. The shoutdowns, vandalism, riots, etc. are just juvenile. And the loser at the RNC convention screaming during McCain's speech is Exhibit A.

Wait a minute here...wasn't it you who bemoaned the fact that blacks turned out in record numbers in CA to elect Obama, and if they hadn't, the prop would have been defeated...

I think you quoted a 70% number of blacks on exit polls who supported the prop being passed...

One more thing: The reason the donk party has the support of blacks and hispanics and native americans is entitlement programs. Period.

Spoken with the conciliatory understanding and good faith intentions of a Donk looking to build a bipartisan concensus to move our country forward.

(Hey, azzipe...go back and look at all the articles in the press, blogs, etc...published since the election, and count the ones of "conservatives who are bitter" and the ones of "liberals who are smug and hateful towards conservatives". You'll find the latter outnumber the former a few hundred fold. You think maybe it's not a Donk-Conk issue after all, but rather a "self-hate" issue like I've been saying all along? Time for a gut check... )

Jon, I said it the other day, and AZGriz has underlined it....when the LGBT community starts attacking the churches (who oppose homosexuality on biblical grounds), they actually position themselves on a moral stoop below the church's. I don't agree with the church's involvement in politics to pass laws that overtly suppress the LGBT community, yet this fight has gone both ways. The arrogant and mean spirited attacks by folks like Gavin Newsom and some of the extremists in the LGBT community, have taken the fight to the church...which puts them in the catch 22 position of becoming political, or allowing the church to be legally forced to rewrite their doctrine, which is akin to suicide...

...this has been a very nasty fight out here, and for the LGBT community to escalate it by having demonstrations in LA, SF and SLC, will only exacerbate an already self-destructive debate.

Teabag, you and your ilk have been run outta town with your tails firmly planted in your fat, white asses. Soundly defeated. How embarrassed you must have been, people all over the world celebratin in the streets. Your regime of hatred, cynicism and intolerance burned to the ground.

You are irrelevant, you always were.

Where's all your smack now?

And this would have been okay? The crowd booing the mention of Obama at McCain's concession speech was shameful and McCain using hand gestures to quite them wasn't enough? I sense a double standard.

The GLBT community has tried outreach, reconcilliation, etc with the bigots. It doesn't work. We have to stand up for ourselves, and call attention to the hatred that eminates from these "places of God"

Turn up enough heat on the Mormons, and they will have a new "revelation" that gays are ok, just like they did with blacks, Native Americans, etc.

I agree with you AZ but the intolerance and bitterness is pervasive on both sides of the political aisle. Too many people in this country are unwilling to put down their personal kool-aid and listen to and respect the points made by people with different opinions and ideologies.

The mormons are dickheads. However, no groups have done more to marginalize gays than the roman catholic church and the republican party.

That's why I laugh at people like D1B who believes that suddenly all the hate, divisiveness and bitterness is going to suddenly just melt away. The donks spewed hatred for 8 years and now they expect conks to just lie back and take it up the ass? He's living in la-la land if he thinks thats going to happen.

See. THAT'S just hypocritical. ALL mormons are not dickheads. Just like ALL catholics and republicans don't marginalize gays. Speaking in absolutes just pisses people off.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - there will be a spat between the new sheriff (Obama) and his deputy (Pelosi) within the first year. People think that Obama brought in Emanuel, Axelrod, etc. to play hardball with the Republicans when his first challenge will be to get his own party in line. Pelosi is going to think that she should be in charge and Obama is going to have to establish his place at the top of the pecking order early or be marginalized. Pelosi has that large of a majority because of Emanuel and he won't let her forget it or push Obama around.

During the campaign, Obama was able to keep everything at 10,000 feet and keep everyone warm and fuzzy by not going into specifics that didn't fit with any particular group's vision of the future. As POTUS, he can't keep everyone happy, he's going to have to make decisions that will upset some members of his constituency. The question is - can he tell them no and still have them leave his office with a smile on their face and love in their hearts?

There will be a number of dynamics at play that should keep things very interesting.

You mean you didn't say what you meant? You said "Mormons are dickheads". As a GROUP, no they're not. Individual ones are. Just like individual donks that played college FCS football and live in their mom's basement smoking weed all day are dickheads...but that doesn't mean ALL donks that played college football and live in their mom's basement smoking weed are dickheads.

No problem dickwad, next time I'll use "not all".

Mormon, catholic and republican leadership set the agendas. The sheeple who follow it, even if they have moral or intellectual objections, are dickheads. Check yosef.....

Quit changing the subject. :geek:
