AWESOME! You guys see Obama walk down, campaigning his way to the podium. Shameless. He's making a mockery of this.....A MOCKERY. And by an illegal, undocumented President no less. It's a shame...

True, though I think it is the "touch of grey" look. You know, looks like he's got the experience, but still has the energy to get er done.

Get rid of energy subsidies that work and give them to green energy that doesn't work.
Dems were truthful when they said they wanted much higher gas and energy bills

The oil industry is the most profitable in the history of mankind. They hardly need subsidies to survive.

This. While they are at it, cut farming subsidies too. Hell cut all the subsidies to anyone.

No, this year Obama decided to put a hold on the classless jabs during what should be a unifying speech.

Oil industry doesn't need subsidies to survive, but the less fortunate people don't need the oil industry raising prices for gas to get to work and heating their homes while green energy is being developed. The poor won't be paying taxes for oil subsidies, they will be paying them directly. Needs to be a transition period to keep prices in check.

That's a really good point. But you could also ask whether the working poor are really able to own a car and afford single driver commuting expenses versus mass transit. Subsidies enable bad behavior and slow the demand for clean energy.

If gas prices go up, so do the mass transit prices that use gas, same with car pooling, larger vehicles use more fuel and the cost would increase. Many of the cars that the poor have are gas guzzlers, because that's what they can afford. Many cities have limited trains and rely on a bus system. The bus system in the Twin Cities use subsidies, and the buses are looking rather full right now. I'm looking forward to living in the bay area and using mass transit to get almost anywhere.
