Wow, that would be interesting. If he won the Democrat primary that would kind of be like Republicans nominating O'Donnell in DE...

Please - Olbermann is 1000x the candidate O'Donnell was.
Olbermann would make a great addition to the Senate - immediately would be one of the best.

Given the liberal-leaning NE, his election would not surprise me. Unfortuantely for the rest of us, he would immediately displace Pelosi as the most liberal punk in the Congress.

Maybe he would do something about the BCS, like Obama promised.

Exactly! Just like Obama is the most liberal president we've had...ever.

I have no problem with an ignorant idiot like Olbermann running as long as Jared Loughner can attend his first politcal rally.

Celebrity candidates have won in the past, all the way up to the top job. And that includes actors and generals, too.

TTBF: So you're saying Ike was a bad president merely because he was a "celebrity" before his election? Whose definition determines who is or is not a celebrity?

I'm saying that I don't like celebrity politicians. Even when they turn out to do a pretty good job. As an idea, I'm opposed to it. There have been occasional celebrities that have made passable politicians (Franken has surprised me with his ability to roll up his sleeves and just work) - but for the most part it's a damned disaster show.

How many times a week do you sweep your trailer for recording devices and tiny cameras?
