No offense, but I have heard how it was the "white man's cocaine" that was purposefully sent out to destroy the black community. I don't think any one can claim moral superiority over the other. That being said, the Volstead Act left a lot of people forced to do a lot of things just to survive while the real asshats, Capone, etc, continued to thrive and I could probably lose count tracking down the govt officials in on the racket as well.
