Obama's Superbowl Interview

O'Reilly just concluded a pre-game Superbowl interview of President Obama.

I give O'Reilly a "B+" for the interview. Although he finished well, I thought he should have been a bit more respectful of the office.

I give the President an "A" for the interview. His responses were refreshingly intelligent and thoughtful. To my pleasant surprise, he also came off as a real person.

What grades do you give to O'Reilly and the President?

I give Fox a D for including that as part of the Super Bowl pregame. I'm a political junkie... but, I don't want that shit on the Super Bowl pregame.

I give O'Reilly an F. That may be the worst interview of a sitting President I have ever seen. He came off as a complete dick. Interrupting the President and answering his questions for himself. Just awful.

I give Obama an A because he refrained from throwing a haymaker to O'Reilly's jaw.

Geez, skelly, you would cut off your dick to spite your balls. Obama got some of the best publicity of his Presidency out of that interview.

Bill's a dick, no question. I thought he was tossing way too many jabs at BO, but Obama was giving as good as he got. IMO, Obama comes out ahead on this one - I give him a B.

I don't give a fuck. It's the Super Bowl. I want to drink beer, eat greasy food and enjoy the last football game for the next 7 months.

Since when does the president NEED publicity? He's on TV 24/7 seems like.

So what is your issue then? I drank beer, ate greasy food and enjoyed the last football game all without watching the interview? You don't like Fox, don't watch it when it is political.
:ohno:

You act as though he needed this interview to tell Americans of his agenda. He does that quit often.

The President's speeches have become increasingly boring, vacuous and poorly "attended." Today was not another boring and repetitive "agenda" speech, it was an interview. As a result, Obama appeared more human than at any other time in recent memory.

You are correct that he is available 7/24, but that does not mean he is viewed by a large audience, as he was today during the Superbowl. I would bet that more people and a much wider demographic watched his interview with O'Reilly today than his previous five speeches combined - including the SOTU.

The President was also very clever to praise his fellow Americans today, as has NOT always been his previous inclination.
