I have no problem if they want to ban them from schools. When I was in school in Manchester, NH all those kinds of things were banned... I would assume they still are. Get caught with one, have it taken away and a parent had to go and get it back.TwinTownBisonFan wrote:simple solution - dont bring a fucking phone to school
How is it violating their right to privacy? If they are on school grounds - toughUNHWildCats wrote:I have no problem if they want to ban them from schools. However... taking a students cell phone and searching it is a violation of the students right to privacy... and I hope a court tells them they cant do it.
if my car is parked at wal mart, does a wal mart employee have the right to search my car?dbackjon wrote:How is it violating their right to privacy? Once again, you prove yourself to be a simpleton.
Bingo! Schools can search kids's lockers, backpacks, even their cars if they are in a school parking lot.dbackjon wrote:How is it violating their right to privacy? Ya way to go and put words in my mouth. Personally I think schools should ban cell phones, however I dont feel schools should be allowed to search the contents of someones cell phone.Cluck U wrote:Once again, you prove yourself to be a simpleton.![]()

If they have reason to suspect you have unlawful items in your car (backpack/purse/etc). You don't have to let them search & students don't have to consent to the search of the phone (both cases will be searched either way & let courts decide the validity of the search later on).....the police will be called & search warrant obtained if necessary to search your personal belongings...this is no different than having your computer bag searched at work by employer. If that offends you, then quit the job. And if students are offended, either drop out of school or don't bring the fokking phone to class....UNHWildCats wrote:if my car is parked at wal mart, does a wal mart employee have the right to search my car?dbackjon wrote:
