You guys must be slipping, In the old days you guys would have been all over this fasters than flies on a garbage can. -- OK, enough harassment.

The Obama administration is planning to phase out Fannie and Freddie. Seems way overdue to me as I would have done it years ago. What blows my mind, is that on first glance it sounds good to me, so where is the catch here? I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop, but what is it? Whats going on here?

It will take 5 to 7 years!! I should be dead first! WOW and why so long?

Quote of the day fromTimmy Geithner?
"Two to three years are needed to allow the housing market to completely recover"
Really, that's good to hear. How is your tulip portfolio doing Timmy???

At this point most people, regardless of their political affiliation, realize that Fannie and Freddie have to go. It really isn't a matter of contention. Now if we can just get rid of the Federal Reserve.

I'm not falling for the hype. He might "end" Fannie and Freddie, but you can just about bet your mortgage that all he will do is replace them with something else, or just simply combine them into one and rename it to something else. :coffee:
