the silence is DEAFENING!!!!!!!!!

Post by catamount man »

troops in Afghanistan
troops in Iraq
possible troops in Libya (ARE U FUCKING KIDDING ME?!!! WHY??!! GIVE ME ONE GOOD FUCKING REASON OBAMA IS EVEN THINKING ABOUT SENDING TROOPS TO LIBYA!!)

Why is the MSM ignoring all the military's unconstitutional occupation of these foreign lands when they refused to shut up about it from 2001-2008?!

All I hear is "we gotta fix the budget" and the solution is right in front of their eyes. What does one expect when the Bilderbergs are pulling the strings?

END UNCONSTITUTIONAL WARS RIGHT FUCKING NOW!!!!!!!!!! BRING OUR MEN AND WOMEN HOME!!!!!!!!!!!

Do we even have the troops to go there even if we wanted to? I take it we are already stretched pretty thin as it is.

Current deployment is if any US citizen recovery is needed. Any attack on Libya would be a no-fly zone establishment, done through the air.

You're going to have to remind me...why are our citizens still there...and why do we need to "recover" anyone who is still there?

Seriously, in some parts of this country, if you need a helicopter rescue, and you are dumb enough to be stuck in a dangerous area in the first place, then you will be billed for the rescue services. So who gets the bill for moving an aircraft carrier and its support ships into place off Lybia?

It is far past time for our "citizens" to be out of that country. Stop the nonsense.

And this is needed because? Explain to me again WHERE IN THE CONSTITUTION is it stated that our President makes that call? So you support war now with a Dem in office? Cindy Sheheen still protests, yet is never shown anymore. I wonder why?

END WAR NOW!!!

Have we done anything?
WE need to be out of Iraq, which we are doing. Afganistan now as well. And we should have a declaration of war.

But not every military rescue, etc needs a delcaration of war

1. the oil industry.

2. likely, no. but our allies may need help. (if you noticed Obama's rhetoric was measured and careful at first, while we still had citizens in country - careful not to precipitate a hostage situation... the language and actions changed quickly once all of our people were out.)

3. He's playing on Qaddafi, and the military leaderships memory... They remember what we did in the 80's with a small force. Without committing a huge amount of force - and without even landing them - it sends a message.

Obama is in bed with the oil industry. Look at how he helps them to record profits by allowing gasoline prices to rocket.

What I'd like to know is how he justifies dropping defense funding at the same time as he increases missions.

It's freaking untenable. Our guys and gals are already at or very near the breaking point.

turns out he has a dial in his office that determines how the market for oil futures will go???

gas prices go up when oil futures do - oil futures go up when massive political instability exists in oil producing nations... egypt, libya, bahrain... and now saudi arabia...

I blame Bush and Obama for the price of oil and gasoline. They have done more to weaken the dollar and drive inflation and the price of oil skywards than perhaps any other president in my lifetime (I'm 25 btw, I wasn't alive when Carter was prez).

Serious question for you. Try not to side step it even though your already moving before I ask it.

Why do you think its OK for any government to step in and steal somebodies business and nationalize it? I know why YOU think that would be a good thing for the country but its still a private business that isnt yours.

So far I have no problem with the way in which Obama is handling this situation.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?
