Sarah Palin Losing More Ground Among Republicans

For the first time in Post-ABC News polling, fewer than six in 10 Republicans and GOP-leaning independents see Palin in a favorable light, down from a stratospheric 88 percent in the days after the 2008 Republican National Convention and 70 percent as recently as October.

In one sense, the poll still finds Palin near the top of a list of eight potential contenders for the GOP nomination.

But Palin’s unfavorable numbers are significantly higher than they are for any of these possible competitors. Fully 37 percent of all Republicans and GOP-leaning independents now hold a negative view of her, a new high.

In another first, fewer than 50 percent of Republican-leaning independents — 47 percent — hold favorable views of Palin.

I think most of the potential Republican candidates can't win, but she'll hit the third rail during the primaries when she's debating. :twocents:

You know the drill, App: "Any [insert minority here] who isn't a Democrat is an incompetent fool."

Only they use other, more violent words, that amount to the same thing.

When people run for President there entire lives are turned upside down and rummaged through...
Which is why sometimes service records are destroyed and sometimes driving records are destroyed and sometimes arrests and court records are destroyed all well in advance of 'The run for office"

Not good or bad... just a fact

She's got a TON of cleanup work to do... a TON

I'm not disputing there is this response from the media. But, I'm not in the media, I'm not liberal & I'd like to think I'm a fairly learned & reasonable person.....and I know she's an incompetent fool. Sorry SH, if Palin was a dude, you'd agree with me. Giving her a pass for her idiocy because she's a woman candidate is demeaning to all women in general. The female gender in this country can produce a better representative of their intellect & political saavy than this carnival clown. She's a smart Bachman, nothing more..... :tothehand:

psychobabble?

that would mean someone said something like "Sarah Palin's desperate attempts to stay in the spotlight despite her rapidly declining popularity reflect a deep-seeded insecurity and desire for acceptance from others"

that's psychobabble...

i have no idea wtf you thought it meant... but that's CLEARLY not what's happening here.

She won't be the nominee but she will keep fund raising and working for other candidates to take over the Senate and the presidency...woman scorned
Ask your congress critter if they mind if she comes in and works for their opponent.

Mean while the guy who mastered hiding his past and is actually in charge is taking another vacation to Rio this weekend. Unbelievable

I never had a problem with how much work any president did or didn't do... Bush Reagan Carter Clinton
It's not a fucking Chevron station...

They mostly work all day every day I assume... and when they don't they don't
Anybody - any person - who gets upset about that crap is being completely controlled by the media (period)

Agree. With all of the ammo one could use to argue against a president's policy/job effectiveness, how much vacation time Obama (or Bush) takes on a job like that is a non-starter...even on vacation, they're working...it's not a job that allows you to turn off the Blackberry and kick back with a cocktail for a few days....

You're right ... running on a platform of “four more years” of 10% unemployment... trillion dollar annual deficits, and $4 gasoline should make him a shoe in.

But in MSM this is portrayed as a "well-earned vacation," while a GOP president is typically portrayed as "slacking on the job." This happened from First Bush through Clinton to Second Bush to now.
