22 April "Sherman's March" on "History Propagana" channel

Post by citdog »

At least they ask the question "Is he a war criminal" but I wouldn't be shocked if the "history" channel blamed the burning of Columbia on Steve Taneyhill.

War is hell. If they didn't want Columbia burned, they shouldn't have started the war. Typical bitter whining from the losing side.

Agree. This could have been avoided had the Suthren's heeded thier own advice to their servants. Unfortuantely, they got too "uppity" and their loved one's suffered. That's what happens you try to "run away from the plantation" (secede from the union)...you get cat hauled and your wife visits "masser up in the big house"....

Oh the irony....

we didn't start the war and the manner in which it was prosecuted by the federals was despicable. sometimes I wish General Lee wasn't such a gentleman and that he would have "made penn howl".

Transalation: we may have started the war, but felt it was unfair the Union continued to fight once we ran out of bullets.....
