Anybody notice that, outside of George Washington, the three most capable, positively influential & effective presidents' hail from the great state of Illinois....Lincoln, Grant & Obama....what'd SC ever give this country? Calhoun & Faulkner? All bow before the glory that is Illinois and her native son, Honest Abe...dbackjon wrote:A great American

I'd stick with Lincoln and ditch the other two. Grant was a great general who understood what it took to win and would not deter, but as president, not so much. Obama is a great campaigner, but again as a president, not so much.Appaholic wrote:Anybody notice that, outside of George Washington, the three most capable, positively influential & effective presidents' hail from the great state of Illinois....Lincoln, Grant & Obama....what'd SC ever give this country? He was a tyrant. If a US President did the kinds of things he did nowadays...regardless of the circumstances..."progressives" would be horrified.dbackjon wrote:A great American
