Is it time for a Privacy Czar?

Post by SuperHornet »

I'm not sure how effective the US "czars" have been, but there's a "Privacy Czar" in Canada who's calling for power to levy heavy fines on Sony and other major corporations who fail to protect user/customer data. She's personally offended that they didn't actually take the time to notify HER that the PlayStation breach had occurred. Is this worth government time and expense? Or is she just another small-time bureaucrat who's allowed a little bit of power go to her head?

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
