First Republican Presidential debate:

Post by Skjellyfetti »

Should be riveting viewing. Tim Pawlenty, Ron Paul , Rick Santorum, Gary Johnson, and Herman Cain.

One thing that would make it more scintillating would be to have Jellybelly as moderator. :coffee:

Actually, Herr Spindoktor, any one of those folks would be more fun than you at a cocktail party!  :butt: :butt: :jack:

I agree that Jellybelly as moderator would be a fine substitute for Nyquil!

Not nearly as interesting as the fact that two out of the four posters in this thread take it in the potty spot.

That was the worst debate in the history of forever. Debate my ass...this was just a glorified interview. I mean what kinda debate asks, "What type of reality TV show would you have?" Seriously?

I voted R in the last election, but if this is the garbage they're gonna come up with, why should I care? Tonight was absolutely unimpressive. I can't imagine many independents enjoyed what they saw tonight.

Show me ANY debate, going back to Nixon/Kennedy, where it wasn't a "glorified interview". They're asked a question, they answer with whatever they want, and they turn the question into a 3 minute talking point.

That's the way these things work. :coffee:

I am a conservative but I probably wont vote for president in the upcoming election for the first time in my life.

If the GOP wants to get anyone interested in this upcoming election they need to get completely rid of the top 20 "NAMES" on the "R" side and start over with some no name run of the mill average Joe.

Its pathetic that this is what we have to choose from (on both sides of the aisle) and there are not better candidates out there.

"Sarah Palin absolutely blew AWAY the audience tonight. If there was any doubt as to whether she was savvy enough, tough enough or smart enough to carry the mantle of Vice President, she put those fears to rest tonight. She took on Barack Obama DIRECTLY on every issue and exposed... She did it with warmth and humor, and came across as the every-person....it's becoming mroe and more clear that she was a genius pick for McCain."

If by "faced down Big Oil and won", you mean justifying a $4bil subsidy over 10 yrs for a total of $40bil in taxpayer subsidies to an industry currently enjoying record profits in the trillions, then yes....

THIS x100000

I've worked for so many candidates... number of debates I've watched? 0.

they are completely awful. I actually pity the communications staffers who have to listen to those fucking things.

OK I LOL'ed a little bit there, Sweetie.

I was trying to be an irrelevant troll with nothing constructive to add, but I just don't have the talent for that and will leave it to Douche1Bag.
