At least in one regard. I do not believe you can judge someone's intelligence by the way they speak in public. Also, I think one can pretty much assume that if someone is highly successful in something like the business world they must be fairly intelligent.

But Donald Trump REALLY comes off as a complete buffoon when he opens his mouth. Then I watched this "30 for 30" thing on the USFL this morning. It recounted the story of how the USFL was doing pretty well, growing, etc. until Donald Trump insisted on moving league play from the Spring to the Fall after only a few years. All involved could see that it was suicide. All involved think the USFL had a chance to succeed if it stuck to its original business model.

All but Donald Trump. And Donald Trump got his way. And the USFL quickly went "POOF."

I mean, the guy got really rich. He must be smart, right?

The one thing a lot of really wealthy entrepreneurs have in common is a few train wrecks in their past because failure is a part of risk taking. For Trump the USFL certainly is one.

I lived in Jacksonville and had Bulls season tix in those days (moved to Orlando in 86), 40 yard line and about 30 rows up. Great seats and always had a blast and saw some pretty good football too.

Maybe Trump would be the ideal President of a nation headed for bankruptcy. God knows he has the experience.

The unfortunate part of his second term is that it will be all about revenge.......rather than bettering the lives of his constituency (ie. all of us).

His first presidency has been all about revenge - from the Dems. Who STILL can't get beyond the fact they lost the presidency to this guy. Four straight years of lame, baseless attempts to get him out of office instead of just moving on and governing. But somehow, if Trump manages to get reelected and starts flame spraying the Pelosis, Schiffs, Nadlers, Waters, Cortez's, Tlaib's, Omar's and Schumers of the world HE'LL be the bad guy.

And he's already done a pretty fucking good job of bettering the lives of his constituency. Whether you or JohnStWrong or dback are willing to admit it or not.
