Where was THAT Fred Thompson during the election? He would have gotten elected in a heartbeat!

He didn't have lines or a teleprompter during the debate...

...I've seen it three times...and pondered the "ratio" of hyperbole to reality...
...and it's frightening.
Bush, Paulson, Bernanke, and yes, Pelosi and Reid will go down as the most incompetent economic managers in the past century. It's simply staggering.
And if the public is wondering HOW something like this happens...the same people who got us into this mess, are being asked for advice on how to get us out of it. Hellooo!!!!!
And just look at who's being "selected" to replace Hillary in the Senate...Caroline Kennedy...a private practice attorney who has NO govt. experience and no Public Admin education...but her maiden name which she still uses is "cool" and she's decided she "wants to do it.".
Holy fv(k...what's it gonna take America. Wake up, Goddamnit.

Cap, I'm sure you've heard this before, but politics isn't for pussies. If you're not strong enough to debate, go play on the girls side of the playground.

I find it funny as hell that Cappy & D only want to debate the topics that THEY start. Someone else starts something and it's "dude, nobody cares....blah blah blah.....yawn.....who gives a fcuk!"

A waste of posting space...they don't even look at the subject matter or do any homework...just bash based on who's posting. Sad. Particularly when the topic is discussing a matter like the economy, already responsible for 2 million lost jobs in 2008.

Fred brings up a lot of good talking points. Shows that TV/acting is his natural home. Great reading lines, not so good in debates, speeches.
It is funny though, to me, that when we do something that seems counter-intuitive, like cut taxes to raise money, certain segments defend that as the logical way to increase revenue.
I don't think anyone thinks we can spend our way out of this mess. We can keep it from turning into a depression.
