Based on this post, I'd say your not worth saving. Kudos to Obama for helping chlorinate the gene pool.tampa_griz wrote:HURRICANE is here!,,,, where is the federal government to save me?
Fargo saved it's self from the flood and the federal government. The government ordered the town to evacuate, the mayor told them to f off. The residence stayed, worked hard sandbagging etc, and saved the town from flooding.tampa_griz wrote:HURRICANE is here!,,,, where is the federal government to save me?

Can't expect the government to help unless there are votes at stake via pressure from the media.

There was really nothing that could have been done in New Orleans except to evacuate.BlueHen86 wrote:I'm glad that things worked out for Fargo.Gil Dobie wrote:

That formula didn't work out so well for the residence/residents of New Orleans when Katrina hit.
You are usually better off heeding the warnings.
..........but they are not paying to rebuild Fargo and a diversion project.dbackjon wrote:Yet Fargo has no problem wanting the Federal Government to pay for flood diversion projects...
You could fill your sandbox.Bronco wrote:Gil Dobie wrote:

Show Id to get sand bags but don’t have to show ID to vote and what does 5 sandbags do for you
Hurricane Irene: D.C., MD, VA,
WJLA ^ | 26 Aug 2011 | By Jessica Binsch, Jennifer Donelan
A tropical storm warning was issued for Washington, D.C. District residents can pick up sandbags (up to five per household) at the D.C. Department of Public Works at New Jersey Avenue and K Street Southeast. Residents have to show their D.C. ID to receive the sandbags, which weigh between 40 lbs. and 50 lbs.
Austerity's a bitch, ain't it?Bronco wrote:Gil Dobie wrote:

Which was what the government told them to do. What is your point? Listen to the government when there is no other choice, grab a sandbag and tell the government to f-off when there is a choice?Gil Dobie wrote:There was really nothing that could have been done in New Orleans except to evacuate.BlueHen86 wrote:
