Further down in the article...

“The military family came in when we got into a disagreement about the war,” said the shop’s owner, Gary Ozuna. “(It) turns out we were both talking about the same thing (and) it was a misunderstanding.”

Following the incident, Pacific Grove Mayor Dan Court took Williams around to other restaurants and introduced him to other members of the community.

On Monday, Ozuna put up a sign that read “Military Welcome. One Free Scoop Of Ice Cream.” He said he started giving away free ice cream to those in the military following the incident.

I'm sure it was just a complete misunderstanding. There's no anti-military sentiment in Kalifornia.

That state thinks it's economy is fc7ked up NOW. They should try balancing the books without all that military "welfare" you speak so fondly of, Cappy.

Speaking of that, Spuzz, I saw this on Frontline:

http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/373 ... ing07.html

She was a bankrupt pal of several U.S. presidents. His firm had been suspended from government-financed housing projects for repeatedly violating regulations......

This change order, approved by the Navy in August 2007, forgave $14 million in cost overruns and delays on the Navy privatized housing project in the Pacific Northwest.

There are 2 paths when blowing whistle; on neither is success likely
Together, they and others formed a company that won billion-dollar Defense Department contracts and took ownership of 8,000 military homes, including 3,000 in Washington. The result was a spectacular failure that has cost taxpayers millions and delayed new home construction and renovations.

Dis-fvcking-gusting, the Navy.
